THE IML PROCESS
MEDENA In-Mould Labeling (IML) is a highly advanced Decoration Process for
plastic containers in which a pre-manufactured Custom plastic label is positioned
directly into the mould. The finished product is checked by a specialised computer
controlled camera system.
Our Automatic Computerised-Quality-Control-System gives us complete Zero-Tolerance
Control over the entire production line.
The result is a decorated end-product completed in a single process – with no need
for subsequent labeling or printing.
MEDENA’s IN-MOULD LABELING (IML) ADVANTAGES
MEDENA IML has eliminated several stages in processing and buffer storage, MEDENA
IML opens up an enormous stock rationalisation potential, particularly for high-quality
mass production, such as is required for packaging solutions, MEDENA IML does not
involve the manual handling or stopping of production for changeovers to new label
types. Shorter runs can be produced cost-effectively, efficiently, perfectly.
